Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. It is Cline’s policy to respect your privacy and comply with any applicable law and regulation regarding any personal information we may collect about you, including across our website, www.withcline.com, and the applications and services we own and operate, including Cal and its Google Calendar integration.
Personal information is any information about you which can be used to identify you. This includes information about you as a person (such as name, address, and date of birth), your devices, payment details, and even information about how you use a website or online service.
In the event our site contains links to third-party sites and services, please be aware that those sites and services have their own privacy policies. After following a link to any third-party content, you should read their posted privacy policy information about how they collect and use personal information. This Privacy Policy does not govern those third parties’ own practices. Our handling of information received through Google APIs remains subject to the Google User Data section below.

Google User Data and Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar to Cal is optional and requires your authorization. This section governs information received through Google APIs and takes precedence over any broader uses described elsewhere in this policy. Google Calendar data is not public user-generated content.
Data we access and how we use it
- Calendar lists, including calendar identifiers, names, and access permissions, let you choose which calendars to connect.
- Free/busy information and event timing, identifiers, and status let Cal check availability and prevent scheduling conflicts.
- Calendar event access lets Cal create, read, update, and delete appointment events as you book, reschedule, or cancel appointments. These events can include appointment times, titles, descriptions, locations, and attendees supplied for the appointment.
We use this information to provide the scheduling features you authorize. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising or marketing, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Storage, protection, and sharing
We store encrypted Google authorization tokens and connection settings so Cal can maintain your connection without asking for your Google password. Requests to Google use encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to stored connection data is scoped to your account and organization. We retain connection information while needed to provide the integration; appointment records and event references support ongoing scheduling and synchronization.
Google user data is shared only as needed to provide the features you authorize, including with Google, your authorized practice users, appointment attendees where applicable, and service providers operating the service on our behalf; for security; or as required by law. Any transfer must comply with Google’s Limited Use requirements. Human access is limited to your explicit consent for specific data, security investigations, legal obligations, or aggregated and anonymized internal operations permitted by those requirements.
Disconnecting and requesting deletion
You can disconnect Google Calendar in Cal’s calendar settings. We disable the connection and remove its stored tokens and settings when Google confirms revocation. If revocation fails, the connection remains disabled while disconnection is retried. You can also revoke access through your Google Account connections. Disconnecting does not delete existing appointments from Cline or Google Calendar. To request deletion of Google user data retained by Cline, contact practice@withcline.com. We delete data no longer needed to provide your requested service, except where retention is required by law.
Limited Use
Cline’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our use of Google Calendar data also follows the Google Workspace API User Data and Developer Policy.
